Who You Are
A Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining financial control, and managing audits. This role typically reports to senior management, such as the Finance Director or Chief Financial Officer, and involves collaboration with various departments to support the organization's financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate financial entries
- Prepare detailed internal financial reports and analyze significant variances
Financial Control
- Implement robust financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Monitor cash flow and manage budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Audits
- Liaise with external auditors to prepare audited financial statements
- Coordinate internal audits and ensure adherence to audit recommendations
- Manage compliance with tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings
Strategic Financial Management
- Develop investment strategies to optimize the organization's financial position.
- Analyze market conditions to identify growth opportunities and risks
- Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making by senior management
Skills and Qualifications
- Professional qualification: CA/ACCA/MBA
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in the field of Accounting and Finance in fast paced organization is preferred
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with financial software system. Problem solver, agile and should be able learn and enhance financing and accounting practices
