Job Description

Position Objective

The Project Finance Manager oversees the financial aspects of various projects within the organization. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, risk assessment, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule. The Project Finance Manager works closely with Project Managers, Department Heads, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Manage cost control, budget management, and invoice control activities for projects within the Control function of the MCN project.
  • Coordinate with the Asset Management team to support asset registration and tracking processes for MCN.
  • Prepare monthly, bi-weekly, and ad-hoc financial reports for the department director as requested.
  • Collaborate with the Project Reporting function to ensure accurate financial data is available for management reporting.
  • Lead meetings on project budget, cost, and invoicing status.
  • Oversee the Invoice Control System to ensure efficiency and professionalism.
  • Implement finance control and asset management processes effectively, including managing asset disposals.
  • Conduct Quality Control checks on invoice records (format, attachments, financial, contractual checks, and calculations).
  • Manage the Project Finance Control team for high performance and task delivery based on Project Control Head's direction.
  • Enter financial data into the Invoice Control Database System.
  • Ensure adherence to project cost control and asset management procedures.
  • Attend project implementation and review meetings, providing progress reports on costs and status.
  • Represent the project team in meetings with the implementation team.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in project finance with at least 5 years in a financial management role, preferably in the telecommunication industry.
  • Proven experience in project finance management of large-scale projects, demonstrating successful budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in leading teams and managing in a matrix organization structure.
  • Ability to influence at senior levels and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools such as ERP systems, Advanced Excel, Power BI for data analysis and visualization, financial modelling software, and project management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a focus on driving financial performance and achieving project goals.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and compliance related to project finance and telecommunication projects.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in PowerPoint for creating impactful presentations.
