DESCRIPTION:
Review Trade Spend Claims:
- Examine trade spend claims submitted.
- Verify supporting documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.
- Identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in trade spend submissions and seek clarification as needed.
Reconciliation of Customer Accounts:
- Work closely with the receivables team to reconcile customer accounts related to trade spend transactions.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between claimed amounts and actual expenditures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary information for accurate reconciliation.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, and customers to gather necessary information and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure alignment on trade spend objectives and processes.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain organized records of trade spend claims, supporting documents, and reconciliation activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and internal policies.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve trade spend processes.
- Propose and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy in trade spend management.
Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on trade spend activities, reconciliation status, and financial performance.
- Present findings to key stakeholders and contribute to decision-making processes.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis on trade spend activities to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize trade spend effectiveness while maintaining cost efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Knowledge of trade spend management systems and ERP software is a plus.
- Previous experience in trade spend analysis or related financial roles is preferred.
