The Financial Accounting and Reporting Senior Manager is responsible for maintaining the accounting transactions and cycle including financial system parameters (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset, and Accounts Receivable); timely periodical closing of books and reports, developing, maintaining and/or training accounting personnel on the efficient and effective use of the enterprise's accounting cycle and financial systems. Provides critical and timely interpretation to Management on information relative to company financial policies and procedures, regulatory, and international accounting standards.
In addition, Director of Financial Accounting is also responsible for internal and external audits responses and driving for favorable outcomes.
Financial Accounting Management:
Prepares accounting and financial reports the Establishment in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and year-end financial packages and financial statements including recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions
Supervises the processes & sub ledgers (system) of accounts payable, accounts receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets.
Develops and prescribes accounting and reporting principles, policies and procedures
Manage and control the monthly, quarterly, and year-end Closing
Directs, motivates and trains staff accountants and ensures effective departmental operations, both currently and in the future, through the selection and deployment of competent accountants
Manage the external & internal audit enquiries.
Creating and implementing the accounting work plan. This includes recording transactions and posting of journals to the ledge, reviewing and approving the journal entries. This also includes managing all accounts within Trial Balance i.e. accounts receivable, accounts payable and daily bank reconciliation.
Oversees the development and implementation of systems, and controls to ensure that costs are properly allocated and accounted for.
Finalizing Financial statement of the company
Ensuring the business practices are as per the Company standards.
Overseeing the financial operations of the company.
Monitoring the legal issues of the company related to finance department.
Change Management:
Ensure stakeholder readiness by providing training, workshops, customer and supplier communications and any support needed for all changes within their respective field
Ensure that the Divisions involved in the change initiative are prepared for all changes required to ensure sustained morale levels and minimal impact on the culture
Review all change issues and provide recommendations on proper initiatives in order to ensure creating a vibrant work environment
Stakeholders Relations:
Establish and maintain good working relationships with the key Stakeholders internally and externally
Act as the representative with local and international concerned stakeholders
Project Management:
Lead and guide project management teams in planning and organizing divisional and organizational projects for their respective Division
Direct and control projects to ensure that project cycles are completed and parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope, and quality) are met, monitored, and in line with the required quality and standards
Lead initiatives and growth projects aligning corporate departments for seamless execution
Governance and Resilience:
Ensure the documentation and implementation of policies, procedures, and processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and processes in order to achieve operational excellence
Monitor daily practices to guarantee compliance with mandatory policies and procedures
Ensure the Divisional compliance with the Code of Conduct to ensure operating within the acceptable risk and ethical levels
Budget Utilization:
Participate in the Division's budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting process
Ensure effective utilization of their respective Department's budget, and report accurately on progress and challenges
People Management:
Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talents for their respective Department
Manage, guide and assist direct reports to perform their functional operations in accordance with set policies and procedures
Set performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate/appraise the team and provide regular feedback on performance
Uphold a high-performance working environment and promote the Organization's Values
Knowledge and Experience:
8 years of relevant experience.
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor Degree in a relevant field is required
Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
