NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for a new EU funded project - Support to the Egyptian Irrigation Modernization to Enhance the Water Productivity programme and is looking to identify individual experts to carry out the assignment.
The global objective of the Programme is to support the irrigation modernization in Egypt to increase agricultural productivity, improve water resource management, and reduce environmental impacts.
Duration: the indicative start date is 23/04/2025 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 24 Month(s) from this date (indicative end date: 23/04/2027).
Location: Egypt.
Key Expert 6: Financial Specialist (Cat. I)
Qualifications and skills:
- Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Meanwhile, in the absence of a Master's Degree, an additional 6 years of general experience with a Bachelor's Degree in the same field.
- Proficiency in financial modelling and cost-benefit analysis.
Professional experience:
- Minimum 12 years general work experience as a financial economist in the implementation of infrastructure projects, or project-based financial modelling, and/or financial due diligence benefit-cost analysis, and impact & monitoring analysis.
- Specific experience in infrastructure projects, especially blending water projects would be an asset.
- Previous experience in the public finance sector gained either through working with a public entity or ministry or on a donor-funded project.
- Experience with the water sector in Egypt in donor-funded projects would be an asset.
Specific professional experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in financial analysis/cost-benefit analysis.
- Minimum 5 years experience in preparing Feasibility studies, benefit cost analysis, and preparation of water/wastewater strategy assessments.
- Proven working experience with the design of financing options/sources.
- Proven Working experience in designing and using financial models for CBA.
- Proven experience with banks/relevant funding agencies to negotiate funding is an asset.
- Experience with EU or EFIs identification and formulation of programmes guidelines approach for at least one EU or European organization Funded Programme, including writing fiches and terms of references.
- Experience in assessing the financial and economic viability of the project, preparation of project fiche, data collection and fiche development is an asset.
Language skills:
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory (CEFR C1)
