Functional
- Deploy company fire, life and safety programs to obtain and maintain related certifications and meet national and international rules and regulations
- Conduct annual fire safety review of all operational buildings to ensure adherence to Airport Fire Safety Strategy
- to approved architecture for Fire and Safety Strategy
- Ensure adherence to UAE Civil Defense, NFPA, Abu Dhabi EHSMS, GCAA and Municipality regulations for Fire and Safety in Building
- Seek building certification based on building classification by UAE Fire Code Council
- Conduct Civil defense, hazard evaluation by providing requisite details to the authorities
- Supervise, coordinate and participate in inspections during building construction to oversee adherence
- Address building modification request by department/tenants and evaluate its alignment with Fire, Life and Safety strategy
- Support in developing the fire, life and safety intervention and evacuation procedures for all building across company's and its subsidiaries including airports
- Provision for the fire, life and safety architecture design for buildings across AD AIRPORTS and its subsidiaries in coordination with the design and engineering department
- Provide for fire protection, including fire exits, fire detection and warning system, fire-fighting equipment, emergency evacuation plan etc.
- Support design, installation, maintenance and management of fire stop system to achieve required fire-resistance- rated construction
- Inspect fire stop assemblies and report damage, alteration , system breach etc. for quick repair and restoration
- Conduct regular inspection of hydrants and equipment at company's properties to ensure they are fully functional /operational for any emergency situation that may arise
- Perform any other duties as requested by the reporting manager

Requirements
QUALIFICATION / EDUCATION
- Bachelor Degree in Fire Safety Engineering / Fire Science or similar discipline.
Experience
Certifications,knowledge & Skills (preferable)
- 5 plus in fire engineering practice with the projects or similar fire safety engineering activities.
- 5 years experience with installation, testing, commissioning, handover and maintenance of fire systems.
- Essential knowledge of UAE Civil Defence fire code and respective NFPA standards.
- Essential to have strong communication, report writing and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills to use tablets, auditing software, MS Office and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of emergency management
- Preferable
- Fire engineering working experience within the GCC or UAE (preferable)
- Airport fire & life safety working experience
- Emergency Management experience
- Equivalency certified candidate preferred.
- NEBOSH Fire & Safety Risk Management
- NFPA / IFE / IFSM Membership and affiliation.
