JOB PURPOSE
The role holder will be responsible for managing company vehicles & leased vehicles and ensure all the daily repairs and scheduled maintenances are done with the least downtime, best operation practices, and in compliance to the UAE regulations and health and safety guidelines. The successful incumbent will also be responsible to manage day-to-day activities like handover of the vehicles from/to users, liaising with the leased vendors and coordinate with cross functional departments.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule the preventative maintenance of all company vehicles at proper intervals.
- Ensure the required fleet availability as per business requirement.
- Coordinate with leasing vendors and workshops on technical aspects and quotes of fleet vehicles and equipment to optimize cost and reduce downtime.
- Prioritize repair works in coordination with workshop team and leasing companies.
- Recommend resources required to improve department results and vehicles performance.
- Ensure renewal of vehicles documents in due time.
- Strive to optimize fleet performance and manage by KPIs and measures.
- Maintain accurate records of the vehicles and equipment maintenance, as well as vehicles and equipment record of users.
- Coordinate with road mobile recovery units.
- Identify frequent accident breeders for development or disciplinary action.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience of handling with outsourced vendors, vehicles and sales trucks/cars, GPS tracking systems.
- Experience of vehicle registrations, permits, accidental vehicles, fuel tracking command, SALIK/DARB etc.
