Role Description
The Fleet Supervisor will be responsible for supervising fleet operations and managing day-to-day activities related to the company's vehicle fleet. They will ensure effective communication between the drivers and management, and plan regular maintenance and repair work for the vehicles.
Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead fleet team.
Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for fleet team.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to fleet team to ensure smooth workflow and efficient use of resources.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the fleet team.
Schedule and oversee regular maintenance for all fleet vehicles.
Ensure that vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.
Coordinate inspections and repairs as needed.
Supervise and coordinate the activities of drivers.
Monitor driver performance, including adherence to schedules and safety guidelines.
Provide training and guidance to drivers when necessary.
Plan and optimize routes to ensure cost efficient and timely deliveries.
Utilize fleet management software to track and improve route efficiency.
Monitor fuel consumption and implement strategies for fuel efficiency.
Use tracking systems to monitor the location and status of fleet vehicles.
Generate reports on fleet performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs.
Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Stay updated about industry regulations and ensure fleet operations comply with local laws.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to permits, licenses, and inspections.
Develop and manage the budget for fleet operations, including maintenance, fuel, and other related expenses.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective strategies.
Develop and implement procedures for responding to emergencies or accidents involving fleet vehicles.
Coordinate with emergency services and insurance providers as needed.
Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors, including maintenance service providers and external transportation providers.
Ensure cost-effective contracts and services.
Maintain open communication with drivers, management, and other relevant stakeholders.
Stay updated on technological advancements in fleet management.
Job Requirements
Job Specifications:
Education:
Bachelor degree in logistics or another related field.
Experience:
5- 7 years experience in fleet management with exposure to leadership position.
Language:
Excellent command of both spoken and written Arabic language.
Very good command of both spoken and written English language.
Computer Skills:
Excellent MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Excellent ERP preferred SAP
