Your day to day
You are responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all aspects of the outlet, including bar and beverage service, staff management, customer service, inventory control, and financial performance. Your aim is to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests while maximizing profitability.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff, ensuring high-quality service.
Create work schedules, monitor employee performance, and address any personnel issues.
Foster a positive and cohesive team environment.
Customer Service:
Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally and effectively.
Train staff in customer service best practices.
Beverage Selection and Inventory:
Manage and maintain a well-stocked bar with a diverse range of quality beverages.
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation.
Control costs by minimizing wastage and theft.
Bar Operations:
Ensure the bar is clean, organized, and complies with health and safety regulations.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficient bar operation.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of drinks.
Menu Development:
Create and update drink menus based on seasonal trends and customer preferences.
Set pricing strategies to optimize profitability while staying competitive.
Security and Safety:
Implement security measures to prevent theft and ensure the safety of staff and customers.
Handle any security issues or disturbances in a professional manner.
What we need from you
2 - 3 years of relevant experience in a luxury bar or restaurant setting.
Creativity and solid knowledge of cocktails and spirits, and are able to evidence good business acumen, a strong work ethic, and people-management skills.
Prior Mixologist experience an advantage.
Experience in hiring and training new employees.
A college degree preferably specializing in Food & Beverage Management or equivalent experience is required.
Flexibility with schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
