Job Brief: Business Development Manager (Freight) Automotive Sector

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) with a deep understanding of freight and logistics, specifically within the automotive sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by developing relationships with automotive clients, identifying new opportunities, and promoting the company's comprehensive suite of freight services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct thorough market research to identify key players and opportunities within the automotive sector in Dubai and the broader GCC region. Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate new markets and expand the client base.
  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective automotive clients, understanding their logistics needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed sales targets through proactive client acquisition, pitching bespoke freight solutions, and negotiating contracts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and supply chain experts, to ensure seamless delivery of services and client satisfaction.
  • Networking & Representation: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and establish strategic partnerships.
  • Reporting & Feedback: Provide regular updates and reports on market trends, client feedback, and business development activities to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in business development or sales within the freight/logistics industry, with at least 2 years focused on the automotive sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive supply chain, including parts and finished vehicle logistics.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with the Middle Eastern market and local business practices is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
