Job Description

Job Summary:

The Hotel Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for guests and visitors, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience. This role involves managing reservations, handling guest inquiries, processing check-ins and check-outs, and providing excellent customer service to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services:
  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Assist with check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Reservations and Bookings:
Manage room reservations through phone, email, and online booking systems.
  • Confirm reservations and process cancellations or changes as needed.
Coordinate with the housekeeping team to ensure rooms are ready for guests.
  • Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions.
  • Process payments and handle cash, credit card, and room charges.
Keep the front desk area tidy and organized.
  • Monitor and respond to emails and other correspondence.
Communication and Coordination:
  • Liaise with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, etc.) to address guest needs and issues.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Qualifications:
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's degree or higher in hospitality management or related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with hotel management software (e.g., Opera, PMS) is a plus.
Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Other Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
