We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Full-Time Accountant with previous clinical accountant experience to join our clinic's administrative team.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Recording and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the clinic, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll. Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Budgeting and Forecasting
: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide analysis to identify variances and areas for improvement.Tax Compliance
: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations. Prepare and file tax returns accurately and in a timely manner. Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect the clinic.Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks to the clinic's financial health. Provide recommendations for improving efficiency and profitability.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and manage the clinic's banking activities. Prepare cash flow projections and manage cash reserves to meet operational needs.
Financial Controls
: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard clinic assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.Collaboration
: Work closely with other members of the administrative team, including clinic managers and department heads, to provide financial guidance and support. Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as auditors and financial institutions, as needed.Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. Stay current on best practices in accounting and financial management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.- Knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes is a plus.
