Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU) is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Full-Time Faculty Member in English Literature, Linguistics or American Studies to join its Department of English and Translation within the Faculty of Humanities.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and contributing to the development of undergraduate and graduate courses in English Literature, Linguistics or American Studies. The position also includes engaging in scholarly research, participating in departmental and university committees, and advising students.
Job Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in English Literature, Linguistics or American Studies.
- Develop and revise course materials and syllabi in line with academic standards.
- Conduct scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career matters.
- Actively participate in departmental, faculty, and university-wide meetings and committees.
- Contribute to program development and curriculum enhancement.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary initiatives and research.
- Engage in community outreach and activities that promote the University's mission.
Job Requirements
Academic Background:
- A Ph.D. in English Literature, Linguistics or American Studies or a closely related field from an accredited university.
Professional Experience:
- Previous university-level teaching experience in English Literature, Linguistics or American Studies.
- A strong record of scholarly research and publication.
