We are looking for a qualified and experienced Accountant who will undertake the major responsibilities of the company Accounts department which includes payables, receivables, reconciliations, balance sheets, profit & loss statements, examining & analyzing the companys accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting, other standard accounting procedures and necessary financial reports.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:_

Financial Record Keeping:_
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
· Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
· Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

Financial Reporting:_
· Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
· Generate various financial reports and summaries on a regular basis.
· Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting financial performance.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:_
· Process invoices, payments, and expenses.
· Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
· Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Taxation and Compliance:_
· Assist in tax preparation and filing activities.
· Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and keep abreast of changes in tax regulations.

Budgeting and Forecasting:_
· Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
· Monitor budgetary control measures and report any variances.

Audit Support:_
· Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
· Provide auditors with necessary documentation and explanations for financial records and procedures.

Expense Management:_
· Review expenses and recommend cost-saving strategies.
· Analyze and report on regular expenses, identifying areas of improvement.

Financial Analysis:_
· Conduct financial analysis to assess financial performance against key metrics.
· Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial results.

Documentation and Compliance:_
· Maintain organized and compliant financial records, both electronic and physical copies.
· Follow established accounting policies and procedures, making suggestions for improvements when necessary.

Communication and Collaboration:_
· Collaborate with other departments, providing financial information and support as needed.
· Communicate financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.
· Proven experience as a general accountant or in a similar role.
· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
