Responsibilities:- Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
Ensure that the project is staying on or under budget- Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints
Resolve problems when they arise
- Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.
Supervise all construction workers- Hire and collaborate with the construction workers and contractors needed to complete a job.
Keep detailed records of expenses accrued throughout a project to ensure it remains within the set budget.
- Ensure the job site is a safe work environment and in compliance with all laws and regulations.
Troubleshoot all issues that may arise on the job site and find an adequate solution in a timely manner.- Create work schedules for all workers and contractors to adhere to.
Source any supplies as needed.
Proven experience as construction foreman
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, guidelines and equipment
Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems- Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate and report effectively
Problem-solving abilities- Good communication and team working skills
Good physical condition and stamina
- Must have previous work experience or training as a General Foreman
Must be a strong leader- Must pay close attention to detail
Must display superior organizational skills and be able to work efficiently on tight schedules
- Must know how to make quotations
Must be able to keep detailed and accurate records- Must work well with a variety of people from different backgrounds
