Job Description

We are partnering with an esteemed transportation company to appoint a General Manager. Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and implement a robust strategic plan to steer the company towards long-term profitability and market leadership.
  • Regularly review and refine business strategies in response to evolving market conditions and company objectives.
  • Manage overall operations and make pivotal decisions that affect the companys direction and results.
  • Enhance operational systems, processes, and policies to support organizational mission and drive extensive and sustainable growth.
  • Champion a culture of safety and quality across all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure all company activities comply with legal codes, practices, and ethical standards within the transportation industry.
  • Oversee the financial status of the organization including developing long-term financial goals, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure maximum resource utilization and maintain a positive financial position.
  • Lead the development and implementation of customer service standards to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Expand market share through strategic marketing and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Guide the human resources department in establishing company culture, compensation, development, and evaluation of personnel.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
  • Drive the companys technological agenda to optimize customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Keep abreast of leading-edge technologies that can impact the company's long-term performance.
  • Manage and cultivate relationships with business partners, governmental agencies, and other external entities.
  • Represent the company in negotiations and at public, social, and business gatherings.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a General Manager or CEO in the transportation or logistics industry, demonstrating successful leadership and business acumen.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
  • Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced ability to communicate and conduct interpersonal interactions at all levels.
  • Masters degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field.
