Job Purpose
The General Manager Lucy Switchgear Arabia (LSA) provides the vision, strategy, direction, and leadership for the LSA business operations, reporting directly to the Director and General Manager of Lucy Electric MENA RHQ . Leading a successful and hard working LSA team and building on the already established customer base in the high growth region of Saudi Arabia and other assigned markets
Job Context
The General Manager LSA role is a complex role requiring an able team player adept at managing multi-matrix relationships internally and externally, through effective collaboration, and stakeholder management. We need a leader with the skills, drive and determination to deliver on our business plans, setting the right culture, generating enthusiasm and team working from your team, who demonstrates advanced leadership skills to enable the business to meet the demands for profitable growth. You will inspire employees and act as a role model for the sorts of behaviours required to lead a successful business, striking the right balance between short-term improvement and long-term value.
Responsibilities
Achieving the Companys finance and operational, sales revenue, and profit targets, whilst controlling costs, managing risk and delivering the budgeted profit margins, delivering the sales targets and representing the sales function globally for reviews and strategy for automation and service project business
Creating and delivering the yearly budget and longer-term strategic plans in alignment with the overall Lucy Electric strategy
Actively developing, managing, and measuring performance of senior management and other back-office functions via KPls in line with overall business plans and strategy.
To be the Company regulatory authority in KSA and to be responsible for legal, financial and management activities and to ensure compliance standards are met.
Effective oversight of risk in line with Group financial and control policies
Providing pre and post sales technical support to customers in the Region
Establishing an effective and responsive tender response capability that focuses on meeting the needs of customers in all the Companys regions, optimising the standardisation and measurement of the Companys back-office processes;
Full manufacturing and Supply Chain activities within the manufacturing plant, delivering operations & production targets, defining operational KPIs to measure and manage all aspects of the LSA operational delivery
Ensuring efficient provision of Energy Services and after sales warranty and aftermarket service support.
Embedding a strong Compliance Culture such that all Company employees, and any other natural person or legal entity, acting for or on behalf of the Company, understands the compliance risks relevant for their respective roles and are empowered to take active steps to ensure the Group remains compliant with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and governing information.
Effective local government relationships
Actively identifying, developing, and manage partners, agents, and distributors in the Region in accordance with the Group policies on Business Partnering
Identifying products available with other Lucy Group companies and recommending possible introduction to the assigned territories.
demonstrating company behaviours and values; leading by example to ensure the team does the same.
Working with the Global Manufacturing Director, the role is responsible for delivering operations & production targets and with the Global Sales Director for delivering the sales targets.
Qualifications/Experience & Skills
MBA preferred plus Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or in Business or Marketing.
10 years+ experience in a General Management role in a global matrix organisation
Fluent in English and Arabic, spoken and written
Extensive experience in a senior commercial or business development role in Suadi Arabia.
Extensive experience of working with senior stakeholders in a Group of businesses in a similar sector, able to lead the implementation of Group policies and processes and provide all necessary reporting

- Manufacturing Operations Managing and supporting the Companys operations teams to ensure the delivery of product at contracted delivery times, working with the Global Manufacturing Operations Director to implement the agreed manufacturing strategy for the Company.
- Budget Management - Works with full competence to estimate and manage the effort and finances to complete the work within budget.
- Strategy Creation and Alignment - Works at an advanced level to create the project strategy, vision, and goals, and maintain them in alignment with the organization's strategy and goals.
