Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering and Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to collect business requirements and develop comprehensive documentation, including Product Requirements Documents (PRD) and Software Requirements Specifications (SRS).
- Business Process Analysis: Analyze current business processes to identify areas where GIS applications can enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Functional Specifications: Develop detailed functional specifications and system design documents for GIS solutions.
- Documentation Management: Prepare and maintain all project documentation throughout the software development lifecycle, including use cases, user stories, technical specifications, and user manuals.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with GIS developers, IT staff, and project managers to implement solutions that meet documented business needs.
- Testing and Validation: Coordinate and document user acceptance testing to ensure GIS applications meet functional requirements and quality standards.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, GIS, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS analysis and mapping.
- Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or GIS Professional (GISP).
- Technical Skills: Experience in cadastral mapping and familiarity with GIS software and tools.
- Documentation Skills: Proven ability to gather requirements and develop comprehensive documentation, including PRDs and SRS.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
