About the Role
As the Geology & Exploration Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing geological and exploration activities for the Group. You will lead brownfield and greenfield exploration projects, manage mineral resource estimates, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Geological Modelling and Resource Estimation: Utilise Leapfrog software to create geological models, conduct resource estimation and classification in accordance with JORC or equivalent standards, maintain geological databases.
- Exploration Management: Plan and execute brownfield and greenfield exploration programs, coordinate drilling, sampling, and geophysical surveys, and develop and manage exploration budgets.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse geological, geochemical, and geophysical data, prepare comprehensive technical reports, and ensure timely reporting of exploration results and resource estimates.
- Operational Support: you will take a part of the mining production process by supporting operations as well as QAQC department in understanding the geological conditions and their impact on the quality of our products.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of geologists and surveyors, provide guidance and mentorship, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Communicate effectively with management boards, government entities, and senior management, and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and local communities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Qualified Person (QP) ideally in Industrial Minerals and registered with recognised institutions (IOM3, AusIMM or similar).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mineral exploration and resource estimation.
- Proficiency in Leapfrog and/or Datamine software.
- Familiarity with JORC (or equivalent) standards and experience in preparing compliant resource estimates.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
