General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
Develop GIS databases, applications, and services to support project needs.
Perform spatial analysis and data manipulation to support project goals.
Performing geospatial modeling.
Perform essential data collection and analysis duties, including compiling and entering various types of data into GIS databases, digitizing maps, reviewing data for accuracy and currency.
Create and maintain cluster and other GIS data layers.
Prepare and present GIS-based maps and reports.
Manage GIS datasets and metadata.
Develop GIS applications to support project needs.
Provide technical assistance and support to other GIS staff.
Perform quality assurance and quality control on GIS data.
Assist with GIS training and other GIS related activities.
Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in (Geography / Civil Engineering / Urban Planning or Urban Design).
Masters Degree in GIS (preferable) from an accredited university.
Minimum 10 years experience in National, Regional, Sub-Regional and City Wide GIS Mapping (emphasis on Infrastructure mapping).
Extensive experience of working internationally (preference for KSA / GCC).
A record of close engagement with relevant National GIS stakeholders and data providers (asset holders).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Arabic an advantage).
