Job Summary:
Responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and managing the export process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This role requires a strong understanding of international markets, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Duties:
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential export markets for our pharmaceutical products. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, regulatory requirements, and customer needs to develop targeted export strategies.
- Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in export markets. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, wholesalers, healthcare institutions, and government agencies. Negotiate favorable terms and agreements to maximize revenue and market penetration.
- Export Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive export plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, regulatory affairs, and supply chain management. Coordinate the export process from order placement to delivery, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with external partners, such as distributors, agents, and contract manufacturers, to expand our presence in target markets. Evaluate potential partnerships, negotiate contracts, and manage ongoing relationships to drive mutual growth and success.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of international regulations and requirements governing pharmaceutical exports. Ensure that all export activities comply with relevant laws, standards, and quality assurance protocols. Work closely with regulatory affairs teams to obtain necessary approvals and certifications for product registration and market entry.
- Sales Forecasting and Performance Tracking: Develop sales forecasts and monitor performance against targets for export markets. Analyze sales data, market feedback, and other metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.
- Negotiation and Deal Structuring: Lead negotiations with potential partners to secure favorable licensing agreements, including terms related to intellectual property rights, financial terms, milestone payments, and royalties. Collaborate with legal and business development teams to finalize deal structures.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field
- Master's degree is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years experience in international pharmaceutical export and business development roles.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying and capitalizing on export opportunities
- Strong understanding of international markets, regulatory requirements, and distribution channels.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as MS Office and CRM systems
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- Excellent English language skills. Knowledge of French, Spanish & Russian would be an asset.
