Department Overview
ASIA Global Supply Planning organization is responsible for total supply delivery into Global Motorola Distribution Centres and Manufacturing Sites. Global Supply Planner is also responsible for planning supplies and managing inventory for all Land Mobile Radio & Video products with the objective of optimizing customer satisfaction and MSI revenue, cost and cash flow.
Job Description
- Global Supply Planner acts as the lead interface to manufacturing sites / DC sites to resolve supply issues relating to the production / customer delivery for which she/he is responsible.
- Buys materials, Finish goods, components, equipment and services from worldwide supplier using preferred suppliers at the negotiated price.
- Coordinates diversified and complex purchasing activities with all functional departments acquiring goods and services in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Guarantee customer satisfaction of internal stakeholders among the supply process.
- Partner with external manufacturers / EMS / ODM to determine optimal supply schedule.
- Work closely with the external manufacturers / EMS / ODM to guarantee the production requirements and create a materials and capacity feasible short term production plan.
- Lead weekly and monthly local supply team meeting to determine and communicate feasible schedule for the next week / month and ensure that all parties are aligned.
- Escalates supply/demand imbalances as appropriate.
- Generates reports and other correspondence as needed.
- Drive weekly metrics / KPI and achieve the given goal.
- Ad hoc problems solving: payment, receiving, invoicing, logistic arrangement etc.
Basic Requirements
- Minimum qualification - Bachelor Degree in Business Administration/Management or any related field.
- At least 2-3 years of working experience in Supply Chain or any related field.
- ERP/MRP (Oracle, SAP, etc.) experience
- Excellence communication skills up, down and across the organization (verbal, written and presentation) in English.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work and make decisions in situations with ambiguity and uncertainty
- Actively supports diversity, equity and inclusion
- Self-motivated
- Possess a pro-active, persuasive and flexible attitude
