JASARA Program Management Company is seeking a Governance Director to join their team in advancing social infrastructure programs in Saudi Arabia as part of Vision 2030. As a part of this joint venture between Public Investment Fund (PIF), Jacobs, and Saudi Aramco, JASARA inspires excellence in its employees and provides a collaborative approach to solving complex issues. As Governance Director, you would be responsible for overseeing and ensuring effective governance of JASARA's programs, projects, and operations. This role plays a critical role in maintaining compliance with internal and external requirements, fostering transparency and accountability, and supporting the achievement of program objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for JASARA's programs and projects, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices
- Oversee the identification, assessment, and management of risks and issues related to governance, ensuring effective mitigation and resolution measures are in place
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including government authorities, clients, and partners, to ensure effective communication and collaboration on governance matters
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of governance processes, practices, and controls, and provide recommendations for improvement to senior leadership and relevant committees
- Lead the development and delivery of governance training and awareness programs to employees, contractors, and other stakeholders, promoting a culture of compliance and ethical behavior
- Coordinate and support audits and reviews conducted by internal and external auditors, ensuring timely and accurate provision of documents and information
- Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to governance and ensure that JASARA's policies and procedures are updated accordingly
- Provide guidance and support to program and project teams on governance-related matters, including contract compliance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, finance, or law
- P3G Certified
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in a governance or compliance role, preferably in the construction or infrastructure industry
- Strong knowledge and understanding of governance frameworks, principles, and best practices
- Experience in developing and implementing governance policies and procedures
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in conducting audits, reviews, and investigations, and managing relationships with auditors and regulators
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing the construction and infrastructure industry, preferably in Saudi Arabia
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required; proficiency in spoken Arabic is preferred
