Aldar Academies are currently seeking a Government Relation Executive for Al Ain British Academy commencing immediately.

Al Ain British Academy opened in September 2011 providing high quality education in the heritage Garden City of the United Arab Emirates. The children are taught the English National Curriculum tailored to be meaningful to children living in Al Ain. Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The Government Relations Executive performs a variety of clerical and support work which supports school employees and school compliance in line with government and Aldar Education regulations and guides the school and company on any changes that may arise. The role will develop practices to help meet guidelines, monitor these practices and maintain all records required to ensure and certify compliance.
Main Duties:
- Meets and observes a wide variety of guidelines and regulations set by Aldar Education, ADEK/KHDA, MOHRE
& ICP and other regulatory bodies.
- Assists in spreading awareness of policies, procedures and guidelines between staff and the management to
ensure a compliance culture within the school.
- Ensures sharing up to date policies, guidelines, rules and regulations issued by ADEK/KHDA, MOHRE, ICP,
and other regulatory governmental body.
- Liaises with ADEK/KHDA, MOHRE & ICP and other governmental entities as necessary to ensure an effective
and expedient communication, whilst building strong relationships.
- Provides information to and receive information from ADEK/KHDA, MOHRE & ICP and other regulatory
bodies and to deal with associated requests appropriately.
- Is aware of and complies with policies and procedures relating to security, confidentiality and data
protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
- Supports Operations team with compliance in school licensing as per regulatory body guidelines.
- Contributes to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
- Participates in training and other learning activities and performance development as required.
- Reports non-compliance issues and recommends solutions.
- Always ensures the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality.
Specific Duties:
- Maintains and monitors the ADEK PASS Staff Information System/ KHDA Staff Approvals and follows
up/reviews the school employees ADEK/KHDA approvals issuance along with the communication with
employees.
- Follows up with employees on required documents to ensure compliance with ADEK/KHDA, MOHRE & ICP
and other regulatory governmental bodies.
- Ensures new employees are compliant with ADEK/KHDA staff eligibility policies.
- Ensures all employees in the school have valid ADEK appointment letter / KHDA approval, work permit,
residence visa and Emirates ID, ensuring compliance at all times.
- Monitors the school current employees ADEK appointment letter / KHDA approval expiration, MOHRE
labour card/contract expiration/work permit and residence visa/Emirates ID expiration and ensures
renewals taken place on time whilst communicating with employees on documents submission within the
defined timelines while ensuring compliance.
- Liaises with the school operations team to ensure external staff are ADEK /KHDA approved and to be
added to the ADEK Pass system / KHDA system (when applicable).
- Issues health screening appointments payment authorization while coordinating with employees in case of
new hires or renewals.
- Ensures medical insurance enrolments for eligible employees to be compliant at all times, as well as
cancellations for departed staff.
- Ensures compliance and alignment of employees job titles in the ADEK Appointment Letter / KHDA
Approval, MOHRE labour card/contract/work permit and Visa/EID card with the Aldar Education contract
job title/position.
- Escalate when needed if employee fails to provide required documents to comply with ADEK PASS
System/KHDA, MOHRE, ICP And Other Regulatory Bodies Requirements.
- Monitors school license on Emiratisation % to be compliant with Government Regulations and highlight
risk of fines immediately.
- Supports School Operations team in issuing and renewing specific school licenses with relevant
governmental authorities such as ADEK/KHDA, Civil Defence, DOH/DHA, DOT/RTA, ADAFSA etc.
- Maintains Employee filling, archiving and document controlling to be updated at all times.
- Any other duties as directed by the Leadership Team as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum diploma in Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Office Management or any related fields.
Minimum Experience:
- 2+ years of proven experience in administration/HR or other relevant position at school preferably governed by ADEK/KHDA.
Job Specific Knowledge and skills:
- Good Arabic and English communication skills (verbal & written)
- Proficient computer, system and MS office skills
- Ability to perform duties of a sensitive and confidential nature
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- High sense of urgency
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with a committee or a team
- Good Stress & Time management skills
- An understanding and knowledge of ADEK/KHDA legislation, MOHRE & ICP policies and procedures as well
as inspection regime and requirements.
- Strong knowledge on MOHRE and ICP Rules and Regulations as well as systems and processes
- Valid UAE Driving License is preferred
