Primary Job Purpose:
The Graduate Legal Intern will work closely with the legal team to gain practical experience in the legal field and contribute to ongoing legal projects and tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist legal team members in executing assigned legal tasks and projects.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support legal decision-making processes.
- Prepare and present legal reports, presentations, and other deliverables as required.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Support administrative tasks, including legal document review, data entry, filing, and documentation.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating departmental events, meetings, or workshops.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of legal process improvements.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, legal updates, and best practices.
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Education & Certificate:
- Bachelor's or associate degree in law or a related field.
- Enrolment in or completion of a graduate-level legal program (J.D., LL.M., or equivalent).
- Previous internship or work experience in a legal setting (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
