Tasks
Carry out all daily, weekly, monthly and other periodic checks as per check list of generated task cards.
Ensure that all GSE is subject to these periodic inspections in accordance with the manufacture's recommendations.
Check work cards in TRAX and maintain to ensure best possible practice for performing the tasks on hangar maintenance and ground support.
Ensure that inspections and defects are recorded as well as the defect rectification.
Report all serviceability data collected through checks of equipment to the Supervisor Facilities & Equipment (SFE) to maintain highest possible and practical serviceability of all Amiri Flight equipment.
Rectify minor defects expediently after prioritising with Supervisor Facilities & Equipment or initiate sub-contacting of maintenance and repair where necessary after SFE approval.
Liaise with SFE to provide adequate spares support to ensure prompt repair and return to service of unserviceable equipment.
Make recommendations to the SFE for purchase of additional or replacement ground support equipment when repairs are not sufficient.
Review all maintenance of Amiri Flight Technical facility carried out by facility service providers and report to SFE.
Perform light engineering duties where necessary by carrying out minor repairs, servicing and part replacement including fabrication of repair parts.
Check all vehicles received from external servicing contractors after servicing, maintaining or repairing to confirm work if work is done properly and complies with Amiri Flight requirements.
Assist aircraft maintenance crew by providing ground equipment support during aircraft maintenance activities.
Keeping a record of monthly fuel uplift of Technical vehicles by maintaining a vehicle log book and fuel receipts and provide Facilities department updates.
Checking and review of any housekeeping requirements of the Technical facility and notify the SFE.
Assist in verifying services and delivery notes of acquired services and short falls and notify SFE for any corrections in invoices.
Carry out GSE and facilities spares inventory to determine availability and notify SFE.
Check and maintain the appearance of all Amiri Flight GSE and facility to ensure proper appearance for a WIP airline and to serve VVIP on ground
(especially equipment/vehicles to be use on the apron). Initiate action where necessary (cleaning, touch ups, repairs).
Effect temporary or permanent special projects according management commission.
Qualifications
Educational Qualification
High School.
Apprenticeship in Technical Profession
Experience
Ten (10) years as ground support equipment mechanic in airline industry or in plant and heavy vehicle/equipment maintenance.
Technical Aviation Training.
