Position Title: Gym Floor Instructor

• Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and energetic Gym Floor Instructor to join our fitness team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, guiding gym members in the safe and effective use of equipment, and ensuring the gym floor is a welcoming and motivating environment for all members. The Gym Floor Instructor will also support members in achieving their fitness goals through personalized assistance, fitness assessments, and general workout guidance.

• Key Responsibilities:

Member Assistance:

• Greet members and guests as they enter the gym.

Provide personalized assistance to members, including answering questions about equipment, exercises, and fitness programs.

• Conduct fitness assessments and create basic workout plans for members as needed.

Safety and Cleanliness:

• Ensure the gym floor and equipment are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Monitor the gym floor to enforce safety rules and address any hazards or equipment malfunctions.

• Demonstrate proper use of equipment and provide corrections to members to prevent injury.

Engagement and Motivation:

• Build positive relationships with members to enhance their gym experience and encourage regular attendance.

Offer motivation and support to members, helping them stay committed to their fitness goals.

• Organize and participate in gym events, challenges, and member appreciation activities.

Administrative Duties:

• Assist with the registration of new members and provide tours of the facility.

Maintain accurate records of member interactions, fitness assessments, and incident reports.

• Support the Fitness Manager with any administrative tasks as needed.

Professional Development:

• Stay updated with the latest fitness trends, techniques, and safety guidelines.

Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Pursue continuing education and certification opportunities to advance professional development.

• Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a related field is preferred.

• Certifications: Certification from a recognized fitness organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM) is required. CPR and First Aid certification are also required.

Experience: Previous experience working in a gym or fitness center is preferred.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of fitness principles, techniques, and equipment.

Ability to motivate and inspire members of all fitness levels.

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and move around the gym floor for extended periods.

• Capability to demonstrate exercises and lift/move gym equipment as needed.

• Riyadh: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)

Experience:

• Gym Assistant (Not PT): 2 years (Preferred)
