What You'll Do
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Ensure the integrity and availability of all hardware, resources, systems, and key processes through daily monitoring and review of logs.
- Hardware Expertise: Handle hardware replacement roles, work with vendors to resolve issues, and support hardware upgrades.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, coordinating with impacted teams to ensure swift resolution.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform and upgrade preventative maintenance on devices and peripherals to meet IT specifications.
- Project Support: Assist in new projects, including rack layout, space allocation, and high-level design reviews.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements and ensure all hardware alerts are managed effectively.
- Asset Management: Maintain labeling, asset management, and ensure safe rack and stack installation of devices.
- Network Connectivity: Arrange and maintain cabling and network connectivity with proper labels.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of Dell MX Blade, VxRail, HPE Synergy, Superdome, and HPE DL 380 standalone servers.
- Strong technical understanding of hardware technologies and alert management.
- Experience in manual health checks for alarms and new hardware deployment.
