Hardware integration specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our digital transformation team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in selecting, installing, and integrating hardware solutions essential for park management, ticket management, and access management. This includes working closely with developers and functional consultants to ensure seamless hardware and software integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Hardware Selection and Vendor Management:

Identify and select the appropriate hardware for park management, ticket management, and access management systems, including POS machines, ticket issuance and collection systems, boom barriers, turnstiles, barrier gates, and ANPR cameras.

Evaluate and select vendors for hardware procurement, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

Review technical datasheets, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Bill of Quantities (BOQ).

Installation and Commissioning:

Identify and document dependencies prior to hardware installation and commissioning, such as networking, cabling, electrical requirements, etc.

Collaborate with ground teams to oversee the installation of hardware and necessary accessories.

Ensure that all hardware components are properly integrated with the overall system architecture.

Technical Expertise and Integration:

Provide expertise in edge computing, analytics, Operational Technology (OT), and Internet of Things (IoT) architecture, solutioning, and deployment.

Perform relevant systems integrations to ensure seamless operation between hardware and software components.

Troubleshoot and resolve any hardware-related issues that arise during implementation and operation.

Communication protocols between devices & cloud.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with front-end and back-end developers, as well as functional consultants, to ensure cohesive project execution.

Communicate technical requirements and constraints to stakeholders and team members.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of hardware configurations, installation processes, and integration steps.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in hardware devices selection, installation, and integration for large-scale projects.

Solid understanding of edge computing, analytics, OT, and IoT architecture, solutioning, and deployment.

Proven experience with park management systems, ticket management systems, and access control hardware.

Strong knowledge of networking, cabling, and electrical requirements for hardware installation.

Experience in reviewing technical datasheets, BOM, and BOQ.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical, debugging, and technical skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with systems integration in a smart park or similar environment.

Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for hardware deployment and integration.

Knowledge of secure hardware deployment practices.
