Head, Data Management

Primary purpose of job

Create data management team and practice in collaboration with the business and the Digital team to allow capturing data driven value, ensuring the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and security across the organization. Principle Accountabilities:

Recruits and manage skilled data team to build robust data services.

Define data architecture, analytics, and solutions strategy in accordance with the business and digital strategies.

Create enterprise data governance framework and lead its maturity, including data ownership, access controls, data quality standards, and security policies.

Lead the implementation and monitoring of data operations (data pipeline, automation, data models, cataloging etc) to enable digital and data analytics.

Accountable for financial management related to Data Management, including setting the annual budget, quality of reporting and spend oversight.

Champion data-driven culture where data is valued and utilization for information decision making across the businesses.

Experience & Skills

15 years experience within the Oil and Gas industry

8 Years of proven experience in data management within the energy sector.

Strong understanding of Upstream and Downstream Data requirements

Strong Knowledge of Database systems, BI Technologies, Applications Architecture, Information Security Principles

Lead the team for the implementation and monitoring of data operations (Data platform, data pipeline, automation, data models, cataloging etc) to enable digital and data analytics.

Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

Strategic partnership development with top data service providers.

Education

A degree in Statistics, Engineering, or a technology related field, demonstrating strong analytical and quantitative skills

Advanced degrees (Master's or PhD) in Data Science, Computer Science, Oil & Gas, Energy Management, or Petroleum Engineering is highly desirable.
