- Job Summary: The Head of Academics & Admissions is responsible for overseeing the academic integrity and operational efficiency of the institutes educational programs. This role involves managing the admissions process, developing and implementing academic policies, supervising faculty, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for student success.
Academic Leadership:
- Develop and implement academic policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of education.
Oversee curriculum development and ensure it meets the needs of students and complies with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of academic staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating faculty members.
Admissions Management:
- Design and manage the admissions process, including marketing, student recruitment, application review, and selection.
Develop strategies to attract and retain a diverse student body.
- Ensure a smooth and efficient admissions process, providing a positive experience for prospective students and their families.
Program Oversight:
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of all academic programs, including NIOS, O & A Levels, IB Coaching, School Tuitions, Pearson, ATHE & OTHM-UK Diplomas, IELTS, and OET.
Ensure that programs are up-to-date with educational standards and industry requirements.
- Introduce new programs and courses in response to market demands and student interests.
Student Support:
- Oversee student services to provide academic advising, career counseling, and support services.
Address and resolve academic and behavioral issues involving students.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success and well-being.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high educational standards.
Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of academic programs and staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accreditation and certification requirements.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the academic staff, administrative staff, and external stakeholders.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty regarding academic policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Collaborate with other departments to support institutional goals and initiatives.
Strategic Planning:
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Develop and implement long-term academic goals and objectives.
- Manage budgets related to academic programs and admissions.
Masters degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in academic administration or a related role.
Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement academic policies and procedures.
- Experience in student admissions and enrollment management.
* Knowledge of accreditation and quality assurance processes.
- Familiarity with the educational programs offered (NIOS, O & A Levels, IB Coaching, etc.).
