Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations and meet business objectives. Align logistics strategies with overall company goals and objectives.
Develop and manage project budgets, forecast expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Manage relationships with logistics service providers, carriers, and suppliers. Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements to ensure cost-effective and reliable transportation and logistics services.
At all times, stay well informed about industry developments and trends, incorporating best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborate and drive business development to ensure timely and accurate timing of deliverables. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting and delivery expectations.
Prepare monthly reports and analyses on project status, logistics performance, commercial and operational metrics, and key trends. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making and strategic planning. Reporting to include highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelors degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven experience 10+ years in commercial logistics management, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
Sound knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations, transportation modes, and supply chain processes.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technology tools.
Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
Results-oriented with a focus on achieving operational excellence and cost efficiency.
Understanding of bonded zone operations, including multi temperature warehousing.
