Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Head of Data Science at Limitless Labs Egypt.
The Head of Data Science will be responsible for leading and managing the data science team, developing and implementing data models, conducting statistical analyses, and overseeing data-driven decision-making processes on a day-to-day basis.
Role Responsibilities
- Creates new coding & modeling techniques for data analysis & interpreting
- Selecting features, building, and optimizing models using all the updated learning techniques
- Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of their Performance
- Providing clear insights that help define strategy, facilitate speed and accuracy of decision-making, and ultimately make a positive impact on the business
- Translates business questions into learning plans and then leads, develops, designs, and conducts primary research studies to enable the synthesis of data to develop insights & solutions
- Coordinates multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines and working productively and efficiently under pressure
- Performing any other task assigned by the direct manager related to the field of work.
- Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and guidance to the data science team, ensuring they meet organizational objectives.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data science projects within scope and on schedule.
- Identify business challenges that can be addressed through data analysis and develop innovative solutions.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and technologies in the field of data science.
Role Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master's. in Data Science, Computer Science, or Statistics.
- Not less than 5 years of experience in the field of information and business intelligence systems.
- Strong applied mathematical and statistical skills
- Knowledge of a variety of machine-learning techniques
- Great applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
- Strong understanding of data visualization concepts and tools.
- Proficiency in understanding of using query languages such as SQL.
- Strong understanding of databases (e.g. Oracle PL/SQL, Mongo), and performance or distributed processing (e.g. Hadoop, Spark)
- Deep understanding of probability, statistics, and machine learning theory.
- Proficiency with Python, Machine learning libraries, and data mining.
- Excellent understanding of machine/deep learning techniques and algorithms
- Applied experience with machine learning on large datasets.
- Demonstrated skills in selecting the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem.
- Advanced level in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Effective communication and leadership skills
