Job Purpose :
We are looking for a highly skilled Head of Embedded Systems Development to oversee the design, development, and implementation of embedded systems solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems architecture, hardware design and/or embedded software development, and team leadership. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing projects, mentoring team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. The role is reporting to Global Head of Embedded Systems Development.
Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of embedded systems engineers in the design, development, and testing of embedded systems solutions.
- Define project goals, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Manage the full development lifecycle of embedded systems projects, from requirements analysis to deployment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, manufacturing engineering, validation, and product management, to ensure seamless integration of embedded systems solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in embedded systems development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, tools, and methodologies for embedded systems development.
- Manage resources, budgets, and timelines to meet project objectives and organizational goals.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in embedded systems development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Hands-on experience in hardware design or embedded software development.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, including microcontrollers, microprocessors, and real-time operating systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Experience with Agile or other iterative development methodologies.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in metering or automotive industry.
Experience in project management.
