One of our leading clients in the B2B jewellery sourcing and supply industry in the UAE is looking for a Head of Accounts. As the Head of Accounts, you will plan, implement, and oversee the overall accounting strategy and operations for Jewels and all subsidiary companies. Your responsibilities will include managing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards, and leading the accounting team to achieve financial objectives.

Requirement-BS/CA In Finance Preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Strategy and Operations:
- Plan, implement, and oversee the overall accounting strategy for them and its subsidiaries.
- Ensure adherence to proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Meet financial accounting objectives and present KPIs & reporting to stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
- Daily Operations Management:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, utilities, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Set up and monitor accounting KPIs to measure and improve performance.
- Regularly produce financial reports and statements for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations across the team.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train new employees to build a competent accounting team.
- Ensure other employees adhere to standards.
- Provide actionable recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Perform and oversee weekly, monthly, and annual audits to ensure financial integrity.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager for at least 10 years in the field leading a department in a fast paced organization.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with MS Office.
- Proficiency with accounting software and databases.
- Strong multitasking abilities.
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Demonstrated sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on the company's success.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player with good time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- BS/CA in Finance preferred.
