We are working for one of our clients in Ajman Government for a Head of Financial Resources Development Section. They need an Emirati with experience in Financial Resourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Finance Resources Development section to support the overall strategic goals
- Oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting activities across various government departments to ensure effective financial resource utilization.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making and long-term financial planning.
- Supervise the analysis of financial performance and resource allocation to identify areas for cost optimization and increased efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all local regulations and policies governing public finance management.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for stakeholders.
- Manage the team's development through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with operational objectives and improve organizational performance.
- Contribute to the development of financial risk management processes and ensure effective management of financial risks.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the finance team.
- Serve as a key point of contact for finance-related queries from various government departments and ensure timely resolution.
Key Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (such as CPA, CFA, CMA) is preferred.
- Experience: At least 4 years of experience in finance or financial management
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a high-performing team.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, particularly within the public sector.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local financial regulations, public sector financial policies, and government compliance frameworks.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate complex financial data into actionable business recommendations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English, with Arabic language skills preferred.
- Technology: Proficiency in financial management software and tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Excel).
