Job Purpose: As the Head of Global Fan Marketing at the Esports World Cup you will responsible for leading and executing a comprehensive fan engagement strategy across all digital and physical touchpoints. This role aims to strengthen the EWC's connection with its global fanbase by fostering engagement through social media, community platforms, and direct fan interactions. Ensures the consistency of fan experiences across regions, grows the fan base, and amplifies audience reach through influencer collaborations and innovative fan marketing strategies, ultimately enhancing fan loyalty and driving ticket sales and brand engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cohesive, multi-channel global fan engagement strategy.
- Create and oversee initiatives to build fan loyalty through community-driven content, events, and online activities.
- Lead the strategy for all EWC social media channels to attract and engage fans globally.
- Coordinate with regional teams to align content with global strategy, tailoring it to meet local market needs.
- Drive engagement across platforms like Discord, Reddit, and in-app loyalty programs to maintain active fan communities.
- Develop unique community experiences to deepen fan loyalty and drive recurring engagement on digital platforms.
- Strategically partner with influencers and co-streamers to expand EWC's reach and drive fan involvement.
- Oversee initiatives to incorporate influencers into fan engagement activities, live events, and social media campaigns.
- Lead ticketing marketing strategies to drive attendance at live events, including online ticket promotions and engagement initiatives.
- Work closely with sales and operations teams to optimize ticket sale performance across digital and event platforms.
- Manage and develop a team responsible for executing fan marketing activities globally and regionally.
- Ensure a cohesive approach to fan engagement and community management that aligns with EWC's brand identity.
- Oversee budgets and P&L for fan marketing and engagement projects, optimizing resources to achieve maximum fan engagement impact.
- Track performance metrics to assess ROI on fan engagement initiatives and adjust strategies as needed.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, media or equivalent.
- 8+ years in digital marketing, social media, community management, and influencer marketing
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Expertise in creating multi-channel fan engagement strategies that strengthen fan loyalty and increase brand reach.
- Experience in overseeing social media channels with strong understanding of social media dynamics and trends; capable of leading strategy for global social media channels.
- Prior experience in the gaming industry is required, with a strong understanding of the unique content needs and audience engagement strategies within this field.
- Proven success in developing and executing fan engagement strategies across large regions.
- Experience managing fan communities and engagement on platforms like Discord and Reddit.
- Background in collaborating with influencers, content creators, and streamers to drive brand engagement and expand reach.
- Experience in managing external agencies. Skilled in negotiating with agencies and managing contracts to align with brand and project goals.
- Proficient in budget oversight and maximizing ROI for fan marketing and engagement initiatives.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in English.
