Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY
Malvern College Egypt is seeking to appoint a motivated and committed Head of Humanities. This position is available from August 2024.
IDEAL CANDIDATE & REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking for individuals who are hard working, creative, resilient and dedicated to student success. At our school, we expect exceptional behaviour management, a team-based culture of collective efficacy and an unwavering commitment to engaging teaching with the proven ability to foster positive relationships and consistently inspire and motivate students. Suitable candidates will require:
An appropriate university degree and teaching qualification
At least 3 years experience of teaching English National Curriculum, GCSE/A-Level in Geography or History and IBDO Experience would be an advantage.
A passion for teaching and learning and a drive to achieve high standards for all
To be an advocate for student wellbeing and involved in our pastoral care system
Excellent understanding of Humanities and how students learn Humanities
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
A solid understanding and use of ICT in the classroom.
To be a team player, motivated by the challenge of achieving the vision of the department and the school.
