We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of IT and Technology in Dubai to lead the IT function and accompany the business in its Tech transformation and support the business's growth.
Key stakeholders will be the leadership team including Finance, Operations and Digital / Omnichannel C-Suite.
Position overview:
Develop, articulate and drive the IT strategy and governance
- Build a strong understanding of the business needs, relative priorities and associated technology implications
- Build the IT / tech strategy based on these needs that will support the business's growth
- Build the IT governance to identify and prioritise business needs
- Implement clear reporting of progress against all key activities for an IT Governance/ SteerCo
Build and deliver on the IT roadmap
In particular, build a roadmap to:
- Deliver a plan for agreed eCommerce priorities, select appropriate technology and ensure delivery against the plan
- Build a Data/ CDP roadmap & deliverables
- Deliver back office/ SAP improvements
- Operations roadmap
- Finance roadmap
- Cyber security remediation roadmap
- Others including HR, etc
Build and engage a strong IT team and third party suppliers, experts, consultants
- Set up the right organization structure and recruit the right talents to deliver on the roadmap
- Identify and manage the key 3rd party contracts for SAP support and Office IT support
- Manage the agreed IT budget
Requirements:
- 10 years experience minimum as a Technology leader
- Delivered eCommerce/ Data/ CDP capability in a retail multi-channel environment
- Experience of ERP (ideally SAP) in a manufacturing/ distribution/ retail environment
- Has run cloud infrastructure and has been accountable for cyber posture
- Motivated by a small team and some partners in a fast moving high growth environment
- Agile, problem solving mindset
