Head of Islamic Investment Advisory

Job Overview:

On behalf of my client, a leading Islamic bank, I seek a driven and experienced Head of Investment Advisory to lead the growth of the Islamic Investment Advisory business. This role has been introduced as part of a broader transformation project and therefore requires someone with a strong background in Sharia-compliant investments, particularly in Sukuk and Islamic funds, to lead the formation of this sales driven vertical and take on a strategic leadership role.

As the Head of Investment Advisory, you will be heavily revenue focused and work closely with stakeholders across the bank including, existing Relationship Managers to deliver Sharia-compliant investment solutions, focusing on High Net Worth clients.

Your objective is to drive sales, build a strong advisory platform in conjunction with the Bank's product onboarding team, and grow client activity by leveraging the bank's Islamic product suite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and grow the bank's Islamic Investment Advisory function.
• Engage HNW clients on Sukuk, Islamic funds, and other Sharia-compliant investment solutions alongside Relationship Managers.
• Drive revenue growth from advisory sales.
• Build a team of investment advisors and specialists, ensuring alignment with Sharia principles.
• In conjunction with the Bank's product onboarding team, develop and launch new Sharia-compliant products, including leveraging the bank's proprietary book.
• Cross sell FX and other Treasury business.

Key Product Offerings:

The successful candidate will be focused on key Islamic investment products, including:

• Sukuk (primary and secondary markets)
• Islamic Funds (equity and money market funds)
• Wakala and Murabaha investments
• Structured Products linked to Sharia-compliant indexes
• Share Financing

Key Requirements:

• Strong United Arab Emirate market experience in Islamic investment sales and advisory.
• Expertise in Sukuk, Islamic funds, FX, and other investment products.
• Deep understanding of Sharia-compliant finance and investment solutions.
• Excellent client relationship and sales skills, ready to step into a strategic role.
