About the Role:
Our client, a dynamic start-up in the contracting industry, is seeking a highly skilled Head of Operations to lead and manage projects from inception to delivery, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality outcomes. This role involves technical management, coordination, and site supervision to drive project success and client satisfaction.
Main Accountabilities:
Audit and Analysis:
- Conduct audits and detailed analyses of drawings produced by all teams across project stages.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to project cost, time, or quality.
- Propose effective corrective actions and alternative solutions during estimation or execution stages.
Design and Estimation:
- Collaborate with concept architects to develop and refine designs from inception, supporting estimation processes.
- Review bids, specifications, and drawings to ensure technical feasibility and compliance.
Technical Leadership:
- Lead technical aspects of projects to ensure safe, efficient construction practices.
- Develop and implement robust site supervision procedures to maintain quality standards.
Control and Detailing:
- Oversee design evolution and construction activities across multiple projects.
- Prepare detailed construction documentation and coordinate shop drawings for execution.
Support and Knowledge Transfer:
- Provide guidance and support to Project Managers, facilitating knowledge transfer and project continuity.
- Contribute to tender processes, offering technical expertise to secure and manage major projects.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct thorough QA/QC reviews to uphold design integrity and construction standards.
- Proactively address project challenges to maintain schedule adherence and quality benchmarks.
Method Statements and Communication:
- Develop comprehensive method statements and operational manuals.
- Foster effective communication with subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
Performance Measures:
- Adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Effective risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Quality of technical documentation and adherence to design specifications.
- Team collaboration and knowledge sharing effectiveness.
- Successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Architecture or Civil Engineering Degree, more than 17 years experience, out of which 12 years in contracting and site works, not owner rep, not maintenance or facility management, some design experience is a plus.
- At least 10 years in construction industry, mainly in major building (retail/malls/etc.) projects
- Advanced English.

- Proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, and Planning software.
- Experienced in EPC contracts and design and build.
- Experience in Saudi market technical practice and materials.
