Overview:
As the Head of Operations for our Technical Services Team, you will play a critical role in overseeing and enhancing the operational efficiency, effectiveness, and safety of our services including full P&L accountability. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving profitability, operational efficiency, and growth while ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
- P&L Management: Assume full accountability for the business's Profit and Loss (P&L) performance, including revenue growth, cost management, job profitability, manpower utilization and profitability optimization
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth, expand market presence, and achieve financial targets in alignment with the company's overall objectives
- Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for all operational activities, including project execution, resource allocation, and risk management, to ensure the successful delivery of engineering services
- Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to monitor performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to enhance profitability and operational efficiency
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, understand their needs, address their concerns, and identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth
- Business Development: Work with the Sales Team to identify new business opportunities, pursue strategic partnerships, and lead the development of proposals and bids to expand the division's client base and revenue streams
- Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, project managers, and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality services that meet or exceed client expectations and comply with industry standards and regulations
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Promote a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance throughout the organization, prioritizing the well-being of employees and stakeholders
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process optimization, innovation, and cost reduction to enhance operational efficiency, competitiveness, and profitability
Requirements
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree in related Engineering field (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation)
- Additional degree in Business Administration would be a plus

- Should demonstrate superior verbal and written communication abilities, effectively conveying ideas and information
- Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills, providing insightful consulting and delivering compelling presentations
- Possesses a robust foundation in the relevant engineering discipline, ensuring a thorough understanding of core principles and practices

- Maintains a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and managing projects efficiently from inception to completion
- Pays exceptional attention to detail and demonstrates high-level organisational skills, ensuring precision and order in all tasks
Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of work experience in a similar role, including extensive experience of managing a busy multi-disciplined maintenance facility, along with the provision of site based services within the oil and gas sector
