Job Description
We are Looking for a Head of Procurement for one of our FMCG clients based in the United Arab Emirates.
Title: Head of Procurement
Location: Dubai, UAE
Experience: Minimum of 12+ years of work experience in frozen food (animal protein)
Job Summary: The procurement manager's responsibilities include developing purchase strategies, planning & execution of procurement procedures, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal teams regarding their supply needs, and overseeing the purchasing team in their daily activities. Their duties include researching raw materials suppliers and comparing costs, negotiating purchase agreements, and developing inventory controls to identify demand for new materials.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage the strategic planning, KPI, annual material cost budget, and department budget.
- Manage inventory replenishment processes by monitoring in stock levels of all SKUs and assign effective replenishment strategies.
- Develop procurement policies and processes to include creation of templates/tools for the buyers as well as operations staff.
- Prepare contracts and requisition demand throughout procurement process.
- Develop logistics procedures for importing, exporting, and warehouse management.
- Develop a MRP system to control the inventory of the company and the production process.
- Monitor shipments and shipping logistics to make sure they are shipped in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Develop and implement internal processes and procedures for new product deployment and develop go-to-market strategies.
- Process change agent to ensure operational and purchasing procedures comply with changing government and other regulatory requirement changes.
- Develop and implement annual price negotiation strategy to ensure material cost productivity targets are met within assign commodity.
Experience, Education and Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 12+ years of work experience in frozen food (animal protein).
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
Skills:
- Demonstrates aptitude and precision working with numbers. Knowledge of purchasing policies processes, and procedures.
- Knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms and pricing.
- Performed function with little or no supervision in a timely manner with acceptable quality. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to multitask.
- Ability to learn new software/processes.
