Job Location: Dokki, Giza
Key Responsabilities:
- Develop a 3-5 years strategy, establish a germplasm base, and build breeding infrastructure within the first year.
- Characterize germplasm for traits like yield and disease resistance; initiate hybrid development.
- Set up trial sites and evaluate early-stage hybrids in diverse environments.
- Integrate advanced breeding techniques and implement a data management system.
- Build partnerships with research institutes and seed companies.
- Identify commercially viable hybrids within 3 years.
- Recruit and train a skilled breeding team in the first year.
- Ensure the program stays on budget and aligns with goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's in Agricultural Science, Plant Genetics, Agronomy, or a related field (Ph.D. is preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in agricultural research, focusing on seed production or crop science.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Proficient in research methodologies and data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Passion for innovation and sustainable agriculture practices.
