Job Summary: The Head of Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for developing and executing the annual business plans and budgets for the department, aligning with the investment goals of the Fund. This role involves leading a skilled team, building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic partnerships, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive value creation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Execute Business Plans:
- Develop and execute the annual business plans and budgets for the department, aligning with investment goals.
- Report on the progress of activities against the annual business plans, including opportunities, challenges, and issues faced, and mitigations taken, to facilitate informed decision-making.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a skilled team to effectively manage strategic partnerships.
- Set clear goals, monitor team performance, and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build high levels of trust and understanding with key internal and external stakeholders to promote full compliance with industry regulations and promote a broader understanding of the companies interests and practices.
- Build, develop, and manage relationships with government agencies within the industrial ecosystem that support portfolio investments.
Market Analysis and Research:
- Conduct regular research and market analysis to identify potential partners and understand changes in regulations affecting the portfolio.
Pipeline Development:
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of partnership opportunities, tracking and reporting on the progress of each from initial contact to execution.
Primary Contact and Negotiations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all government strategic partners and lead the negotiations and management of the partnership to ensure clarity and mutual benefit.
Collaboration and Value Creation:
- Collaborate with portfolio companies, funds, and structures to drive value creation initiatives, leveraging the ecosystem and partnerships to enhance outcomes.
Policy and Process Management:
- Manage the development and implementation of the Strategic Partnerships policies, systems, processes, and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure efficient and effective operation.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with corporate requirements on adherence to policies, procedures, and instructions related to all relevant regulatory directives to ensure a safe and risk-free environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or a related field.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct market research and analysis.
