We are seeking a dynamic and experienced UAE Nationals to join a government entity in Abu Dhabi as the Head of Training. As the Head of Training, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the learning culture and talent development strategy of the organization. This strategic leadership position requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of learning methodologies, training techniques, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a cohesive learning and development strategy aligned with the organization's vision, values, and business objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key learning priorities and initiatives.
- Training Program Design/TNA: Lead the design, development, and delivery of training programs and curricula across various functional areas and levels of the organization. Utilize a blend of instructional techniques, e-learning platforms, and experiential learning opportunities to enhance employee knowledge and skills.
- Leadership Development: Design and implement leadership development programs to nurture and cultivate talent within the organization. Identify high-potential employees and provide them with targeted development opportunities to support career progression.
- Performance Management: Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of learning and development initiatives. Conduct regular evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and track the impact of training on employee performance and productivity.
- Learning Technology Integration/Learning Analytics: Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in learning and development. Evaluate and implement learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and other digital tools to enhance the delivery and accessibility of training programs.
- Change Management: Lead change management initiatives related to learning and development, ensuring that employees are equipped to adapt to organizational changes, new technologies, and evolving business priorities.
- Budget Management: Manage the learning and development budget, including forecasting, allocation of resources, and cost-effective utilization of external vendors and consultants.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with HR business partners, departmental leaders, and subject matter experts to identify training needs and align learning initiatives with organizational goals. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote a culture of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in learning and development, training, or organizational development roles.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training program evaluation.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning and development programs in a corporate environment.
- Experience managing a team of learning professionals and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with learning technologies, LMS platforms, and e-learning authoring tools.
- Certifications such as CPLP (Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) or CPTD (Certified Professional in Talent Development) are a plus.
