Job Purpose
Oversee and manage safety related activities within Manufacturing operations at CEER to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees. Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and procedures to create a safe workplace environment.
Key Functional Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with Local, state and federal regulations as well as industry standards and best practices.
- Develop a safety training strategy and deliver training for employees, contractors, and other stakeholders to promote awareness of safety practices and procedures.
- Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization by fostering employee engagement, participation, and accountability in safety initiatives.
- Facilitate safety committee meetings and collaborate with cross functional teams to address safety concerns, implement solutions to drive continuous improvement.
- Establish safety requirements for vendors and contractors working on site. Ensure that contractors comply with safety regulations and adhere to company policies.
- Lead investigations into workplace accidents, incidents and near misses to determine root cause analysis and prevent re occurrence. Preparation of incident reports and recommend corrective actions as required.
- Communicate safety related information, updates and initiatives to employees through various channels such as meetings, newsletters and training sessions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve safety programs, procedures and practices based on feedback, data analysis and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, procedures and protocols to effectively respond to emergencies such as fires , chemical spills, flooding or medical emergencies.
- Coordinate between central safety and all plant shops.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- IOSH or other Chartered professional registration in safety field is desirable.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Safety Management systems Auditor ISO 45001
- Certified Ergonomics specialist (CES)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
- Minimum of 10 years in the field of health and safety management within the Automotive Industry.
- Operational safety requirements for multiple shops (Press, Body, Paint and General assembly and support functions).
- Safety requirements and standards for facilities and plant operations within the Vehicle Manufacturing Plant.
- Proven track record of successfully leading health and safety initiatives and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Greenfield experience.
- Highly desirable Experience working in GCC regions.
- Highly desirable - Automotive or EV startup.
