Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in the Gulf region. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of relevant experience in the job market and possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various types of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, and cranes.
Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment for faults, damage, and wear and tear
- Identify faults in mechanical systems and recommend repairs
- Diagnosis, repair & overhaul of bulldozers, loaders, trucks, crushers, generators, compressors, diesel engines, automatic transmissions, hydraulic systems,
- Engine overhaul: Caterpillar, GM, Cummins
- Perform regular maintenance on equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper functioning
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
Skills and Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Experience with welding and fabrication
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred
