Responsible and accountable for
- You are responsible to provide troubleshooting for IT problems related to applications & operational systems under the supervision of IT group leader in the guidance of country IT Manager and IKEA pre set IT policies and procedure
Main tasks
- You provide troubleshooting independently for IT problems in your organization related to applications & operation systems and liaise with country offices to resolve user support issues if necessary
- You are responsible for all hardware and software installation, configuration, WAN & LAN issue, safety, security and maintenance of IT infrastructure
- You provide system training to all store end-users and new co-workers, to ensure the proper use of applications & operation systems
- You manage the relations with vendors on IT software and hardware purchases and maintenance if assigned to do so
- You visit store at least twice a day to know the common issues as per the store round checklist...
- Resolve the IT Helpdesk requests efficiently and records the solution for future reference
- Update the System with daily IXP (data - Imports and Exports)
- Send required data to IXP like daily sales figures, daily stock figures, etc
- Replicate orders from logistics to IXP
- You generate routine IXP related files required on daily / weekly basis and ensure the entire replication job so that they run smoothly and the system remain updated
- You update the daily sales figures for the bulletin board screen
- Send the PTAG And PTAG+ Files (price tags)
- Ensure all routine backup jobs to be prepared for any disaster
- You generate backup reports for cashiers and picking to be used in case of a database disaster
- Generate routine KPIs as per policy
- You update and restart the servers in the data center as per company policy
- Optimize the cashier tills and restart them at least once a week
- Reconcile any missing containers (if requested by logistics)
- You are responsible for FIFO Part 1 Processing and Inventory Update Report
- You perform assigned duties on annual Inventory counts
Profile of suitable candidates
- General retailing experience
- At least 5 years working experience in IT support functions
- Experience in large retail company is an advantage
- University graduate in IT or related qualification
- Aware of standard IT safety and security principles
- Good knowledge and understanding about IT application systems, operating systems & end user networking
Communication skills
- Must be able to speak and understand English & Arabic
- Must be service-minded and problem solving oriented
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to share knowledge and learning
- Must have ability and sense of active learning
Leadership skills
- Able to accept criticism and deal calmly and effectively within high stress situations
