This job opportunity involves working with a young client in the home setting, school setting and in the community. Prior experience working with children with special needs is essential. Previous experience in OT and SLP is preferred. The successful candidate will be hard-working, reliable, energetic, enthusiastic and open to learning. 2-3 weeks of training and supervision will be provided by the Carbone Clinic Dubai. - To implement all program recommendations provided by the Clinic.
- To conduct sessions with the client in the home or community setting, including preparation and organization of teaching materials.
- To be responsible for the upkeep of program materials for the client prior to and following the session. This includes data collection, graphing, updating program book and replenishing daily materials required for the client's session (e.g., stimuli, datasheets, program book, etc).
- To provide an objective report of the client's performance during the session on a daily basis to the parents.
- To follow the conduct and professional guidelines as described on the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
- To consistently implement in the home setting all recommendations outlined by the
Consultant following consultation, if applicable.
- To receive passing scores on competency evaluations of instruction (90% or above)
- Other requirements:
- Flexibility is very important. The therapist will need to be available to travel with the family throughout the year.
- Therapist will need to accompany child to school three days per week.
- Therapist needs to be available for the child throughout the day, however she may take her breaks whilst child is in therapy (i.e., ABA, OT, SLP).
- Therapist must be willing to work in collaboration with childs therapistS and receive training in all disciplines related to her therapies.
- Managing childs daily schedule.
- Overseeing all aspects related to childs health (i.e., ensuring she has been given her supplements, provided a meal based on nutritionists recommendations etc).
- Therapist must be kind, warm, fun, animated and energetic. Needs to be able to build a good rapport with young children.
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience working with children preferable
- Must have experience with OT and/or SLP
- Qualification in special education or related field preferable
· One return home ticket provided per year
· Visa and Insurance will be provided
· Annual leave of 30 35 days per year, Days off must not coincide with UAE national holidays as family may travel during those periods
· Will provide 3000 5000 allowance for accommodation
Salary: AED 7000 11000 (can be higher based on experience)
Working Hours: 9hrs per day (some days it might start from 9am, other days it can be later depending on childs schedule)
Working days: 6 days per week (one weekend day off)
